The one word answer to FAILURE is ......HOW!..
This is the Keyword in our home each time we fail, make a mistake or even get rejected and instead of dwelling over why and what happened, we have taken a diversion to HOW can we fix it? How can we not repeat it? How can we find an alternative? How can I still prove to myself? How can I continue to self believe?
As parents, be their true Critic whenever it is required because that will create RESILIENCE.
Allow them to comment on your actions because that will teach them to ANALYSE and through this process they will also learn to be TRUTHFUL and HONEST Critiques.
We need to accept FAILURE as our teacher to make us unstoppable to achieve, leading us to a path of self discovery, irreplaceable knowledge and greater perseverance.
EMBRACE the ‘NO’s and challenge them!Be KIND to ourselves and identify our own strengths!Develop a mindset and attitude in our children that enables them to accept the rejections and at the same time emerge STRONGER just like the Greek mythological bird .. Phoenix emerges from the ashes....symbolising SELF BELIEF in this case! At work I saw a 4 year old ardently wrapping sticky tape around a wooden train track, when asked, he said, he was fixing the train track as it had a split. He had already applied glue, left it to dry in the sun and was now securing it with sticky tape! I was amazed at his attitude to FIX things and finding solutions... we need to develop this kind of growth mindset to find solution, right from their early years.
Failure or rejections should be a learning process, which not only bring us closer to the fulfilment of our ASPIRATIONS but also give us the experience of how we can sharpen our skills and knowledge to avoid further setbacks.
Success isn’t one big tick box but involves several steps to the top, some may work for us and some may not but we need to REDISCOVER a way around all those hurdles in order to reach our pinnacle.
These are some of the key elements to achieve success because the measure of success isn’t from the institutions we have been to, or the material wealth we have accumulated....

Instead success is measured by how many lives you have touched, what difference you have made and how you have impacted others lives for the betterment in any big or small way!
Success is the measure of how you can hold yourself with grace and utmost humility while stumbling along the path! Just like our mothers carried on elegantly and gracefully, whilst handling the spills in the kitchen and simultaneously laying the table beautifully with delicious meals!
All because.....
You are not a failure until you continue to believe in yourselves, persevere to achieve your goals....and have the unrelenting DESIRE to EXCEL!
