80% of my Brain is Water!!

Mumma, do you know that our BRAIN is 80% water and what is more amazing is that the 20% is capable of so much that it makes you feel invincible.”

This feeling of being invincible isn’t something we are born with instead our first instinct is to survive or react to situations that are new for us! If everyone’s brain is constituted of the same neurons, then how come some of us are able to achieve more, excel in certain areas and others much less so.

What makes children different from each other?

It’s the magic of the E’s: Environment :: Experience :: Empowerment

The environment we build for our children is what will give them the varied experiences and these experiences build those numerous connections within our brain, making lifelong imprints. Offering them a range of interests will fuel their curiosity and create new interests which they may wish to pursue further. The power of our human brain is such that we have the ability to multitask and this enables us to encompass numerous experiences provided we expose our children to .

We all have varied experiences , of which some are worth sharing and some not, but the important aspect of experience is the OUTCOME. Not every outcome is favourable but every outcome definitely has a story to tell.

As part of growing up, we have heard the phrase ‘Jack of all the traits, but master of none’ and thus pushed towards choosing that one thing to focus on, but what we didn’t realise that Jack is getting a much more holistic experience. Most experiences are memorable, the ones that have taught us to stand up and reinvent the wheel are in true sense an ‘EXPERIENCE’ but the ones that make us ‘THINK’ and ‘TEACH’ us something new, something we were unsure of, giving an inner sense of self esteem and confidence is a ‘HOLISTIC EXPERIENCE’.

Taking your toddler for the first time to the park or the museum, holding their hand as they absorb all those new things in their new surroundings, still unsure to hold the swing or touch the dinosaur on display, seeing their gleaming eyes you fondly nod your head and leave their hand allowing them to take the step forward towards this new experience! They are buzzing with excitement with their new found interest in swings or dinosaurs.. what do you do... challenge them to another swing or teach them about a new dinosaur.. ..This is the beginning of their EMPOWERMENT ...

You are allowing your child to believe that they can venture towards higher challenges and newer interests. Developing within themselves ‘SELF BELIEF’ and ‘CONFIDENCE’ to set their footprints in any direction they want. Delegating that power and authority to the young brains enables them to build a growth mindset and thus developing an attitude to find solutions.

Remember...

You provide their first Environment... You give them their first experiences... and Your positive attitude will Empower them to attain greater fulfilling success !!

Children thrive in an environment where they are given experiences that challenge and empower them to achieve their full potential.... and this is all done by just the 20% of the Brain!!!
